PASALB AGM 2026
The PASALB AGM -our 50th Annual General Meeting! was held on 23rd July 2026 at the Hospital Tavern, Whitechapel. A packed room was present with numerous other members joining via a Zoom link, as the order of business was conducted, under the careful scrutiny of Association secretary John Williams.
After a hotly contested hustings, incumbent Chair “el presidente” Greg Foxsmith was re-elected, at least for one more year. The remainder of the committee were re-elected, including PASALB stalwart and treasurer Neil “Bavvers” Bavington.
The association re-affirmed its commitment to supporting Argyle, but deplored the lamentable treatment of the Argyle womens’s football club, and voted not to renew player sponsorship this season.
Committee member Aaron Hocking had double reason to celebrate, with the imminent arrival of his first-born son and junior gunner, and on winning last season’s PASALB fantasy football tournament. He has somehow found time to compile the much cherished TRAVEL GUIDE, which will be with members soon. There were reports from the pool and dates teams, and PASALB FC were congratulated on their 7-0 win over Exeter Exiles the previous month.
The AGM concluded with a vote of thanks for all who helped organise the 50th anniversary celebration/dinner (notably Ginny, James, Lee and Mark)
