Hartlepool 1-2 Argyle

Kelvin Mellor went from villain to hero in the space of six minutes as he ensured that Argyle recorded their first win in five games.

Hartlepool looked to have earned a draw in the 84th minute when Scott Fenwick was fouled by Mellor and scored from the penalty spot.

But Mellor scored himself in injury time to return Argyle to the top of the League Two table.

Carl McHugh had opened the scoring for the Pilgrims in the 76th minute.
