Newport 1-3 Argyle
Argyle recorded their sixth away league win in a row to compound basement club Newport’s misery.
The Pilgrims took control in the 36th minute when Newport goalkeeper Joe Day was dismissed for bringing down Jordan Slew.
Graham Carey converted the resulting penalty, and scored another in the 55th minute.
Argyle’s third goal came courtesy of Slew 12 minutes from the end.
Newport had been level at 1-1 for five minutes early in the second half, thanks to Jon Parkin’s volley, but Argyle ran out comfortable winners.
